A small Portland restaurant group with three rooms — Burnside, Beaverton, and Oregon City — pouring natural wine, mixing proper cocktails, and serving the kind of food that gets called a favorite.
The daily ritual
A short window, a short menu, and the same prices we've always had. Pull up a stool.
Fresh, shucked to order. The reason most of our regulars know our bartenders by name.
The signature little burger you've heard about. Small, sharp, and gone in three bites.
Three rooms
Each location has its own pace. Burnside is the late-night room — wine, cocktails, and dinner until close. Beaverton and Oregon City open for lunch and stay through dinner, seven days a week.
Wine, cocktails, and dinner — nightly. Late night Happy Hour 9–10pm. Sister room to Le Pigeon next door.
Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. A bright, full-day room with the same kitchen and the same wine list.
Lunch and dinner, every day. A neighborhood room for the south-side regulars who didn't want to drive into the city.
What we pour, what we serve
Served nightly at every location. A short menu of small plates and proper mains.
Beaverton and Oregon City. The same kitchen, scaled for a daytime crowd.
Burnside pours wine and cocktails nightly. We share a wine program with our sister shop, Flor Wines.
$2 oysters and $4 steam burgers, 4–5pm Monday through Thursday. Late night 9–10pm on Burnside.
Gift certificates, digital gift cards, and Canard apparel — for the friend who already lives here.

"We went to Canard for the Dine Out Portland specials. I started with the Cara Cara salad and absolutely loved it… The Steak Frit was perfectly cooked. Our party had severe allergies, and they made sure none of our dishes had the allergens."

"It has been awhile since I have been to Canard and after tonight I wondered why. Love the small plates and snacks. Everything was amazing and completely shareable. Such a great intimate space. The service was impeccable."

"The atmosphere was low key, casual with moderate amounts of noise. The staff was friendly. French cuisine never disappoints. We enjoyed every dish… the trout was exceptional. I would go back just for that dish."

A small family
Canard began as a sister room to Le Pigeon — the small east-Burnside restaurant that quietly became one of Portland's most beloved. We share a kitchen sensibility, a wine list with Flor Wines, and a stubborn belief that a great little burger and a glass of something cold can carry an entire evening.
